<p>One year ago this photo &#8211; and more precisely the Astroboy quality of the pose &#8211; got me interested in the PukiPuki doll line by the Korean company <a href="http://efdoll.dreamweb.co.kr/" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/efdoll.dreamweb.co.kr');">Fairyland</a>.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ve never been particularly fond of tiny ball-jointed dolls in general, but I was instantly sold on the Pukis.<br />
Their excellent posability, the clever use of magnets and the perfect engineering make up for the somewhat commonplace anime design of their face sculpts and concepts (which doesn&#8217;t really bother me for once: it fits with the theme, making them look like cutesy chubby anime robots).</p>
<p>One year later Fairyland has announced a new line of dolls called <a href="http://dollfairyland.tistory.com/category/LittleFee" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/dollfairyland.tistory.com');">LittleFee</a> &#8211; basically, 25cm tall Pukis!</p>
<p><a href="http://www.weredollies.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/littlefee-09.jpg" ><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-42" title="littlefee-09" src="http://www.weredollies.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/littlefee-09-200x300.jpg" alt="" width="200" height="300" /></a> <a href="http://www.weredollies.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/littlefee-10.jpg" ><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-44" title="littlefee-10" src="http://www.weredollies.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/littlefee-10-200x300.jpg" alt="" width="200" height="300" /></a> <a href="http://www.weredollies.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/littlefee-13.jpg" ><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-45" title="littlefee-13" src="http://www.weredollies.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/littlefee-13-200x300.jpg" alt="" width="200" height="300" /></a></p>
<p>I&#8217;ve wanted a bjd in the 25-30cm size range ever since I briefly hosted a friend&#8217;s Domuya Potpourri, but so far I couldn&#8217;t find one that truly convinced me.<br />
There is plenty of beautiful dolls that size out there, mind you, but for the most part they fail my main requirement for dolls: a sense of humor.<br />
And Pukis do come equipped with lots of it. ^_^<br />
If all goes well, I will get a gigaPuki as a post-Christmas present to myself.<br />
I am particularly fond of <a href="http://www.weredollies.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/littlefee-09.jpg" >this face mold</a>, which looks just like my first Pukipuki. I wonder if the head I like will also be available on a female body?</p>
